Kaira
Overview
Kaira’s mission is to improve employee wellbeing at work through personalized digital coaching in financial wellness. I shaped the core UX and mobile UI, designing an experience that helps employees reduce financial stress while giving organizations access to anonymized wellbeing trends. The platform uses AI to interpret financial behaviours, generate tailored recommendations and surface insights that support both individual progress and organizational understanding.
Challenge Context
The product needed to feel simple, supportive and trustworthy for employees who may be unfamiliar with financial tools. Organizations required high level visibility into wellbeing without exposing personal data. Early technical limitations and evolving AI outputs made clarity, transparency and responsible data handling essential from the start.
Design Approach
I explored behavioural patterns around financial stress and motivation to shape the core journey, focusing on secure bank connections, assessments and AI generated coaching. I worked closely with engineering to ensure predictions were surfaced clearly and ethically, and designed concepts showing how anonymized AI derived trends could be shared with organizations without compromising privacy.
Deliverables
The scope covered behavioural insights, user journeys and UX flows for onboarding, assessment and coaching, along with a mobile first UI and visual system developed in close collaboration with the lead developer. It also included desktop dashboard concepts translating anonymized AI powered wellbeing trends into clear insights for organizations.
Outcomes
The platform delivered secure onboarding, personalized coaching and meaningful wellbeing insights for employees, while giving organizations a privacy safe view of overall trends. The UX created a strong foundation that allowed Kaira’s AI capabilities to evolve while maintaining trust and accessibility.
Key Learnings
This project strengthened my ability to design clear, empathetic and privacy conscious experiences in AI powered products.
